After a couple of challenging years throughout the country for high end masterplanned communities like Grande Dunes, we’re happy to be able to tell you that there was a major improvement in sales in 2011. With 143 total transactions in 2011, Grande Dunes saw the most sales activity since 2006. The increase in sales activity marked such a dramatic turnaround that there were actually more transactions in 2011 than in the previous three years combined.

There were a number of other encouraging signs of renewed interest in Grande Dunes in 2011. Last year saw the most single family home transactions in four years and the average price of about $750,000 was significantly higher than the year before. Homesite sales hit their highest dollar volume since 2006 and our overall dollar volume was the most we’ve seen in four years.

As we begin a new year, we’re seeing a continuation of that increased level of interest and activity.
